Hip Dysplasia: Definition, Causes and Consequences
Hip Dysplasia is the mother of all orthopedic disease and the most common cause of hip pain in dogs. Over 70% of all dogs are affected by hip dysplasia. Hip Dysplasia occurs when a dog’s hip joints develop incorrectly allowing the femoral head to partially dislocate. This inherited condition occurs when the hip joint is improperly formed.
